About Yiwulü Mountain National Forest Park

Yiwulü Mountain National Forest Park is situated in Liaoning Province near Jinzhou City, northeast China. It covers an area distinguished by its verdant forested peaks and ancient rock formations, centered around Yiwulü Mountain, which is one of the three sacred mountains in northeast China. The park’s elevation ranges around 867 meters, providing diverse ecological zones with mixed deciduous and coniferous forests. The forest park hosts a variety of native plant species including ancient pine trees and diverse understory shrubs, and supports wildlife such as various bird species and small mammals.

Historically, the mountain has held religious and cultural significance with several Taoist temples and stone inscriptions dating back centuries, making it a popular destination for both nature lovers and cultural tourists. Hiking trails are well maintained and lead visitors through scenic ridgelines, waterfalls, and historical sites. The park’s tranquil atmosphere and fresh air make it a favored retreat from urban life.

Visitor amenities include picnic areas, viewpoints overlooking surrounding hills and valleys, and educational signage about the park’s natural and cultural resources. Activities focus primarily on hiking, photography, wildlife viewing, and cultural appreciation, with some areas designated for environmental education. The park is relatively accessible year-round, although spring and autumn offer the most comfortable weather and spectacular foliage displays.
